Watching the waves come in

Today was a great day in Molly's World! It started off with an unexpected run in the dog park. We specifically take her to a park that has a dog park in it so that she can get used to having other dogs around. But, we don't take her into the dog park given that she's not comfortable with other dogs. This morning there were no other dogs in sight ... so we ventured in. We kept her on leash through the first half and closed a gate in between the two areas. We figured that would give us some time to get out of there if another dog showed up because we could use a back gate. Once we took her leash off, she was gone! She gets a big smile on her face when she runs fast and she just kept running. Dave and I both had a quick worry of "would we ever get her back on her leash" ... but, she's not one of those dogs that has boundless energy. She ran and ran - and then she then she wanted to play with us. So, when it was time to go she was ready to walk on her leash.

For our afternoon adventure we went to the coast. There is a beach we love going to that is never too crowded. But, today Molly was the only dog there! We ran, splashed in the surf, chased seagulls, waded into some shallow water, climbed on some rocks, and even walked up part of a trail to the lighthouse. After all of that, it was time to relax on the beach and just watch the waves.
