Or not! A couple of weeks ago we officially invited Molly up on the futon in our office. We knew that when we were at work she hopped up there ... the bone that she left up there as well as the fur she left behind were dead give aways. But, we hadn't asked her up when we were home.
She's been so happy to be able to hop up there with us! She sorta forgets that she's a pretty large beast and wants to cuddle. Generally, it is just a sleepy head on your lap, which is very sweet. We've also learned that she like be be comfy with a pillow. The pillow pictured above had been proped up on the back of the futon. She bonked it with her head to get it to flop over so she could rest her pretty head on it.
Like I said, life is hard!

What a cute doggie!
I think it's their eyes - they give you the big, warm brown puppy dog eyes, and you have no choice but to cave in to their demands.
Next time, maybe I'll get a blue-eyed dog - their eyes aren't warm and puppy-doggish, and maybe I'll get to be in charge!
I do agree with you on the big, warm brown puppy dog eyes! Who could say no to them?
And they're very sweet! (especially while sleeping.)
