As many of you know, Dave has applied to nursing school. The application process is in two phases. He's moved on from stage 1 to the essay writing part of stage 2. On Saturday at 9am he will have to write 3 essays in a proctored exam format. They have been give 5 general topics. 4 of the topics will have specific essay topics on the exam, and he will have to answer 3 of them in 60 minutes. 120 people have been invited to the 2nd stage of the process and ultimately 80 students are accepted. If you have some spare good thoughts on Saturday from 9 - 11, please send them his way!
On a totally unrelated topic, we want to win the lottery. We still haven't bought any tickets, but winning the lottery seems like the best way to be able to hang out, travel, and generally have a carefree life without the pesky need to work. Hey, while I'm asking - how about sending us some good thoughts about that too? Heck, if we win a really big amount, I'm sure we'd share with you!

Wow, you are really demanding with your good thoughts requests. But I'll see if I can spare a few to send your way!
I'm sure Dave will do great on the test because, well, that's what he does. :) But Saturday from 9 - 11, all our extra good thoughts will be going to him!
BTW, congrats on making it into stage 2!
I'm sure Davey will do just fine but my good thoughts will be flowing his way on Saturday.
On the lottery issue - I hadn't played in many years but last week the jackpot was at least a zillon dollars so I played. I haven't checked my ticket yet but I saw in the paper yesterday that a couple in the Bay Area won.

You guys rock! Thanks to everyone for the good thoughts you sent to Davey. He felt that he did as well as he could on the essay exam. He will hear back at the end of the month and we'll let you know then.
As for the lottery good thoughts - you all need to step up your game! I guess it is back to work for us on Monday!
