Today is a sunny Saturday. The past few days have been very rainy (even by Pacific NW standards), so a full day of sunshine is great! Dave had to work and I drove with him to the bank. From there he went on to work and I made a deposit and then walked home. It was a nice day to get out and enjoy the sun and I took my camera with. There isn't much interesting between the bank and home ... but more than in some places I guess. There is a small pasture that has a horse, 2 ponies, and 2 llamas. I've taken pictures of them before, but they all notice the sound of the camera and I didn't want to freak them out. So, I didn't shoot any pics of them today. Instead I headed behind a small alternative high school that backs into a wetland area. With all of the rain the area has flooded into a lake. From this picture you can tell it is a common occurrence that is expected:

The ducks and geese in the area and migrating through clearly enjoy this pond and the surrounding fields. Here's a shoot of this guy taking off:

This one is one that would have thoroughly freaked Dave out. Literally hundreds of geese all lifted up a the same time in the field in far background. The sky was full as the flew around then settled back down.

And here is a few of the geese as they flew overhead:

The walk was nice, taking pictures was fun, but the geese poop that I picked up on my shoes walking through the field was rather gross!

Nice photos. Glad you didn't feel the need to give us photographic evidence of the poopy shoes!
