One Relaxing Weekend!

It wasn't that we did nothing this weekend. But, in comparison to our normal weekend itinerary, it was rather relaxing! From noon on Friday through noon on Saturday our local American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event took place. My work is an event sponsor and we also get a team together to raise additional money and get walkers out during the 24-hours. I did that (rather than my normal work) for the bulk of the day Friday. Then on Saturday Dave and I took the 6 to 8am walking shift and stuck around to break down our tent site, etc. From there we headed to lunch and also managed to see 2 more homes on the local week-long "Tour of Homes." There were about 20 homes on the tour and between last weekend and yesterday we got to 9 of them.

When we got home we didn't do much of anything ... and that carried over through today! Somewhere along the line the yards got mowed and the weeds got pulled. We even managed to buy 2 cage-support-thingies for our two tomato plants, which finally are growing a total of 3 tomatoes! We saw some of the Mets games, watch the two Bourne movies in preparation for the upcoming final movie, and caught up on some TV shows that we'd recorded. Now it is Sunday night and we just got back from a nice long walk around our neighborhood. Hope you all had a nice weekend too!

That's far too long a list to qualify for my definition of relaxing.

Mine would look something like:

Eat bacon.
Watch various motorsports on TV.
And maybe a few movies.
Sleep.
Repeat.

I'm certainly all for the eating of bacon! While I am not a big fan of read meat, I know that I would never be able to really be a vegetarian b/c I really love bacon. And being a vegan is totally out of the question, b/c as Sonnjea has pointed out, cheese is my friend!
