We have had a dining room table in every place we've lived. My sister helped me bang a drop table into the brick wall of my DC apt. It was an Ikea purchase (along with everything else in that apt) and sat 2. Since it was a studio apt and I'd just moved for school and knew no one it seemed big enough. The next year when I moved to Maryland into the Fox St house I bought a table and some other furniture from a professor of mine. He charged me $25 for each piece and one of the items was a 4 top round table. The table did see some great dinners with the 4 house mates. Next it was to NYC and a new Ikea table. Given space issues we bought a table that did this foldy-twisty thingy and changed from a 2 top to a 4 top. We used that for the 3 1/2 years that we lived there. When we moved to OR, we sold or gave away all of our furniture and bought a new 4 top table, which we moved with us here. Except this dining room is much bigger and sort of swallowed up the table. So, we now have a 7-ft table that can seat 8 ... once we buy 4 more chairs! We plan to start having dinner parties for friends and family, so let us know your travel plans!
This is a title. It's important.

Everything looks great!! And I like the dining room wall hangings, too. Very cool. Happy New Year!
Oh, P.S. Your title is Seating for 8 ... and then there's a photo of your bed. I find that disturbing.
Yeah, I think we need that cleared up before we make travel plans...
It looks great! We do not yet have a headboard, so that may be my next big project. We'll see.
Very nice table
Dave was bothered by the title and the bed pic as well. It didn't dawn on me. Clearly my mind isn't as dirty as the rest of you.
Love the new furniture and if you want Seating for 8 on your bed that's up to you and Dave.
