Rainbows

So, it definately rains a lot during the winter in Oregon. No doubt about it. But, not all of the rainy days are cold. And not all of the rainy days are dark and foggy. Many days include intervals of rain and sunshine. The cloud formations that move through here, often quickly, are really beautiful. And without huge tall buildings all around you can actually see them on their journey. And, best of all, are the rainbows. When the clouds start to break apart and the sun shines through, then the magic starts. Can any one look at a rainbow and not smile? I've already seen more rainbows here than I ever have in my life.

So, the rainy winter is not all bad. :) Posted by Picasa

I love the rainbows there -- every time we've been up there we've seen at least one. Down here, we don't get rainbows. Except at the gay pride parades.

Not that there is anything wrong with that!
