Christmas in the City

Things in NY have definately not changed much. Walking down the city streets at breakneck speed, you always wind up hearing extremely short snippets of others peoples conversations. I used to always like inventing contexts to those snippets. You know, those are the kinds of things that you do to occupy your brain when the luster of the city has worn off (in addition to trying to NOT make eye contact with the 7,300 people within your field of vision) ANYWAY, Sara and I took the A train from JFK yesterday and got off downtown in our trek to connect with a dear friend and then the PATH to Jersey. the very first snippet of a conversation I heard when I got above ground was this: "...it's FUC*!#* PAYBACK". I sighed. NY is just as I remembered it. You gotta love Christmas in the City.

If all goes as planned, we'll be having Sal's Pizza today for lunch before heading down to Woodbridge. It is the most wonderful time of the year!!!

Sal's pizza was FANTASTIC!

All the workers at Sal's were wearing collared shirts that said "Italy World Champs 2006". You gotta love that.

And yes, any one of those guys could have pushed Santa's button.

I think he meant the F-ing payback guy offed Santa. Sal's is full of nice pizza-making gentlemen who love and appreciate Santa. Sheesh.
