Christmas wishes for all ... and presents that will happen in January

Merry Christmas to all of our family and friends! We miss you and hope that everyone has a wonderful day!

From an earlier post, you may know that we are flying to NY in January and then driving to DC to be at the inauguration. We found out on Wed. from our Congressman that we did not get tickets into the seated area of the event. Instead, we were invited to a reception in the Congressman's office the day before and plan to attend that. Our Congressman did tell us we are on the waiting list ... but, he may have told everyone that! So, we plan to brave the crowds, etc. and watch everything from the Mall.

And on a more personal note, Dave and I plan to adopt a doggie when we return from our trip. We've both had the dog fever on and off for the last year or so. In the past few weeks Dave's really had the fever. So, when he opened his present today I sent him on a treasure hunt that ended up with a dog bone and a note that we'd adopt a dog in Jan. (My present is a beautiful frame and matting and an 8x10 of one of the pics that I've recently taken with my new camera!)

Happy Holidays and plan a trip to Oregon in 2009!

I like to think my Christmas card was instrumental in this turn of events...

Happy doggie shopping!
