Winter Wonderland

Being located in the valley between the Coast Range and the Cascade Mts. generally means that there is a lot of snow within an hours drive, but little on the valley floor where we live. In our previous winters, we have always gotten a snowstorm or two - but they are usually a day-long event and then everything is washed away.

This week has been the exception. We got snow on Monday and the temps stayed below freezing until Thursday. The town in unequipped to actually remove snow, so it was 3 days of driving on ice/snow. On Thursday the temps finally climbed and the snow was all gone that afternoon. I was bummed though because I hadn't been able to get outside to take any snow pictures with my new camera. So, last night I pouted to Dave in the way only a youngest child can.

It worked! We got 3-4 inches of fresh snow ... and I had a 2-hr delay on arriving to work, so we headed out before work today and got some wintery pics.
