So, Dave and I both have the day off today. It's our first day off together since Memorial Day. This morning we headed to Corvallis to go to some fun shops. We also wanted to try a restaurant we'd seen a commercial for. Turns out, some of the shops and the restaurant were closed for the holiday. But, we still had a fun day. We stopped at a bakery on the way, but I'll save that story for Dave to tell in another post.
This afternoon we are going to go to the Olympic Track Trials. They start at 5:30 and end with a fireworks display tonight. We'd almost purchased tickets earlier in the week, but then there were no more available. As another option, there were tickets available to buy from their original owners and Dave entered an auction for a pair of tickets on Wed. We found out this morning that we'd been out bid. However, as luck would have it, tickets were available again on the regular website. We selected two and went through the process of buying them. At the last minute we were shut down though. Turns out when they say that the only card accepted at the Olympics is Visa, they actually mean it! So, we are headed to the event with no tickets. But, figure the ticket stand will accept cash. And if they don't or are sold out - I guarantee that scalpers will take cash!
Happy 4th to you all!
This is a title. It's important.
