Our garden is awesome! I know many of you out there now have or previously have had gardens. I'm still am not used to having a garden. The flower box on the fire escape still seems more like my world. But, I am getting used to the garden concept real fast! Tonight for dinner we went "shopping" in our garden and picked 3 varieties of lettuce, peas, and the first green onion of the season! The onion was about 2 ft tall! We also picked some cilantro. It all made a fabulous salad. On other garden update news, I put cages around the tomatoes on Sunday and they are growing well. The zucchini's leaves are big ... even bigger than Davey's head! So far, everything is growing strong. No doubt, I will keep you updated!
Then on to a story I've been meaning to share. Many of you know that Dave loves hot fudge. Ice cream is okay, but the fudge is where it is at for Dave. A few weeks back we went out for dinner and then stopped by Cold Stone to share an ice cream. We don't get dessert often and almost never share ice cream because we like opposite things. I prefer chocolate and Dave prefers vanilla. We settled on the cake batter flavored ice cream. For toppings Dave got hot fudge. He was thrilled when the scooper said that he could buy extra hot fudge! Of course, he did. We walked across the courtyard to sit and enjoy the warm weather and the ice cream. When we sat down we realized we had just the one spoon to share. Seemed fine to me, but Dave wanted his own spoon to get to the hot fudge more quickly. He walked back to the ice cream shop. From where I was sitting, I could see him pick up the spoon and then RUN back. I guess he was afraid I was a few bites up on him! I was cracking up watching him sprint back, spoon in hand.
The next day we saw a neighbor out front and said hi. She mentioned that she saw us the night before at the shopping center. I said that we were sorry that we didn't see them to say hi. As we walked away, Dave reminded me that he had been RUNNING back with a spoon and that was probably why they didn't say hi! Oh well, we can make other neighbor friends!
This is a title. It's important.

If you've got to run, that seems like a good reason...
Yea for the garden! The other story was just weird...
