It's Sara and this is the first post that I am doing! Dave's birthday is tomorrow and I figured he shouldn't have to do his own b-day post. We don't really have any plans for his birthday, except continuing with our decision from a few years ago that his birthday had to become is birthday again. That is the trouble with sharing a birthday with the 9/11 attacks. Last year we managed to do that in style. Dave's whole family went with us to a Mets game. With the help of our friend Josh who was working for the Mets at the time, we even got the Mets' score board to wish Dave a Happy Birthday. This year, we have no family with us to celebrate and no Mets game to go to (although Dave is still working on finding a way to get back to NYC for a post-game .... again with the help of our friend Josh who now works for the MLB players' union). We did go on a wine tour yesterday arranged by one of my co-workers. There are lots of wineriers nearby and it turns out they have nice views, and better yet, some good wine. We had a fun afternoon and picked up a few bottles ... so, guests are welcome any time! There is also some early signs of fall starting to come out. Some of the leaves have started to change, there's something in the air, and one of the wineries had pumpkins as part of their decorations. Nothing like the presence of a pumkin to announce the arrival of fall. So, even though it won't be a big celebration this year - I hope that Dave has a great birthday and many, many more. Maybe next year you can join us for a birthday toast!

Happy post-birthday, Davey! we hope you liked our song&dance (sorry you couldn't see the dancing -- dancing while playing the viola is quite a sight).
That was a fun post, Sara. Made me wish I was there drinking and looking at pumpkins!
Hey, I have not yet had the opportunity to thank you! So, hey, thanks! for the birthday song. :) You guys really own a viola??? Hopefully, next year i can see it in person.
Yep, and that's not a euphemism. Scott played viola in the orchestra in high school.
And you thought he was a geek!
Wow! Counting and viola playing! What talent! We do wish that you could have been sipping wine with us! We miss you! - S
