Free Chapala50

***This is not a politically motivated blog post. It is also not about a movie-whale captured off the Oregon coast...

A while back, I had to go to the college to take an exam on the same day that Sara had to work there at a career fair. It was great timing, so we drove together in the Element. After taking my exam, I headed to the career fair to meet up with her. On my way in, I entered a raffle. I almost walked right past it, since I never win anything in those sorts of things. The reason I entered, though, was that the big prize was a free course at the college, but they also informed me that there were many other fun prizes as well. Anyway, I had forgotten about the whole thing this week when I got a call from a very nice lady at the college. She told me that someone had won a prize at the last career fair, but had never come to pick it up. So, they drew a second name and that person too never came to pick up the prize. Finally, they drew a third name and that name was mine. "Lucky" me!! The prize, as it turned out, was a $50 gift card to Chapala, which just happens to be our favorite Mexican restaurant in Eugene!! Woohoo!!! I picked up my gift card this morning. :)
