Everyone has a thing

You know some of our things, but everyone's things are different. One of Dave's is the Mets. Some of mine include gardening and my love of cheese. I'm talking about things that we all do or really love that are fun and enjoyable to each of us ... but maybe not for the next person.

Where am I going with this? So, we have new neighbors across the street and their thing includes washing their cars .... a lot! Dave and I are not big on washing our car. We occasionally will take it through one of the automatic wash places because we get a free coupon at the place we get an oil changed. Sonnjea has gone to our dealership twice when she's been up in Oregon, so we've also used her free coupons. Other than that, we've probably washed the Element I'd say about 3 times in our own driveway in the past 1.5 yrs of living here. Pan across the street to the new neighbors and you'll find the opposite side of that coin. They wash their cars all of the time! The do have some fancy cars, but I think it goes beyond that. They must really like doing because they wash their cars multiple times a week. In fact, they wash their cars so frequently that they don't even take the time to wrap up the hose when they are done. They just leave it stretched out to the drive way. And who could blame them, they will be back at it soon!

Whatever your thing is, I hope you are enjoying it this weekend!

And if to prove my point, our neighbors just came outside to wash one of the cars!

Seriously, that is a weird "thing" to have. At least if your thing is scones, you get tasty goodness.

I do need to wash my Element though. I noticed today that I can't see through the windshield too well, and you can't see through the skylight at ALL. Maybe I can come visit you and park it in your neighbor's driveway and they'll wash it for me.

Interestingly, the Carwashers across the street rent their house and have quite expensive cars. We wondered if they worked it out so that the owners have to foot the water bill???
