While every junior high student has been using webcam technology for the better part of their lives, Dave and I are not what you would call "early adopters." More aptly, we would be called, indifferent, lazy, cheap, and a myriad of other things ... just not cutting edge. So, we recently got a webcam and have been able to video conference with family that don't live down the street - and let's face it none of them do. It's been awesome! With my sister, we were able to see their new baby chickens. With Dave's family, we haven't seen any barnyard animals, but we've been able to really spend time with them. And since we can all sit around our respective computers its more like being in the same room. For example, instead of Dave talking to Romel, then Grace and I having nearly an identical conversation - we all just talk. On the phone, Maya is interested for less that 2 minutes - but over the weekend we were able to talk for over an hour! And the best part - when they ask Maya "what do you like to do with your tushie?" and she replys "I like to move it, move it" - we could actually see her doing just that to the song lyrics! It's a crack up!

Okay, except for the weird concept of parents asking children what they like to do with their tushies, I'm in total agreement with you! The only downside is not being able to connect because SOME PEOPLE are never online at the correct time.
Pot, kettle, black! I just skyped you and nothing!
