Cleaning up for the New Year

We've had a couple of quiet weekends in a row, so you'd think we would have had time to clean. Oddly, no. We set aside this morning to get the house back in order and cleaned up. We took down all of our X-Mas decorations. Our first tree is now out on the street ready for tomorrow's recycling pickup. Al was still was going strong after 6 full weeks. We even bought a storage bin at Target to keep our X-Mas ornaments, lights, etc. all neat and tidy until next holiday. Then it was onto the normal dusting, vacuuming, & bathroom clean-up. We got our errands run, groceries purchased, and clothes washed and folded. We usually have to made the bed right before we crawl into it on Sunday nights, but Davey's already tackled that task too. I don't know, maybe it is because we've got our first full week of work in a while, or the piles got to us ... either way, it is nice to have everything done all at once.

If you need more piles to tackle, come on down!

I usually do a room at a time or a task at a time - like, say, all the laundry, or whatever - but I agree, it's nice to do the whole house at once every once in a while.

If we are coming down it isn't to tackle your piles. It would be to tackle your pies, and eclairs, and tarts, etc!

You know you're a homeowner when you buy a storage bin at Target for Christmas stuff!

It's true! Even though we still have the mentality that we only have 400 sq. ft. total ... our garage is definitely starting to look like other people's!

Hope your Stockton travels have been going okay!
