Looking back ....

Yesterday I went back to our 1st post on the blog. It was November 2005 and we were just back from Italy and a few days left before we left NYC for our move to Oregon. That's where this blog's name came from. We didn't (and still don't) think this is our last move, just the next. We do have hopes/dreams that we will live in Italy at some point and who knows where else in between. I don't really have a point to this post, other than without really meaning too, we now have a diary through this blog. Neither of us have ever kept a diary, beyond a few short entries before putting the journal away forever. However, we've kept this blog up for over 2 yrs now. Sure, it is a way to stay in touch with family and friends. We get comments from some and others we just know check in on the blog occasionally. But, after reading back through the first year's entries it was a way for us to remember what we were doing or how we were feeling along the way. Life is an adventure - I just hope that we can continue to face challenges and take chances. I think that maybe looking back helps to remind you of that. And that way, someday you will be able to read our blog from Italy.
