Sad Duck, but Bring on the Turkey!

So, it has not stopped raining here in Eugene, Oregon since last Thursday night. Not since Dennis Dixon's knee fell off and crushed Eugene's dreams of a Heisman Trophy winner and a National Championship. Yes, I must admit, the pond has been quite sad.

But, the forecast is looking dry for next week. And thoughts will shift from ducks to turkeys. Actually, Thanksgiving day will mark our one year anniversary in our house!! I can't believe how fast the first year flew by. Last Thanksgiving we spent the entire day moving. It was actually a lot of fun. But, this year promises to be even better. Retired Mama will be flying into town for a much anticipated week, including our first official Thanksgiving feast. We can't wait to see Retired Mama!
