So, if this was show and tell after a summer vacation we'd have a lot to tell ... and we only had 5 days! But we made the most of our time! We hung out with This Land and got to see their new abode. Itis a great house in a beautiful setting and we had lots of fun. This part of the trip included some wine tasting and taking Dave to the town of Columbia. Part of the town has been turned into a State Park in order to maintain the wild west era buildings and life style. While there Retired Mama wanted us to take an old timey picture ... to which Dave eventually said "do we get guns?!" The answer was yes and we'll see the results in 2 weeks. Then it was off to Merced to celebrate Retired Mama's b-day and semi retirement. Somehow the same Chinese restaurant is always the place of her b-day dinners ... mostly because the food is great and between the last visit they forget who we are and accept our reservation. The next night we went to a new-to-me restaurant and had a blast! There was a mechanical bull ... I chickened out of riding ... but not Dave!! And to top off the night we took a picture on their pig! We had a great time on our 5-day trip!
Darn it! There would be pictures to document all of this, but Blogger isn't working!! I'll add them soon!
This is a title. It's important.

Blogger has been so annoying lately. I'm glad you had a fun wild west visit. We (Koji and I) had fun too!
It was great to see you both. Next time, lets shoot guns...
Have seen an expanded selection of bull-riding photos, I can now imagine the earnest conversations in New Jersey trying to figure out just when things went so horribly wrong...
I finally sent those pictures to my brother today. So those conversations should now just be getting well underway!!
I can see why you hesitated...
You moved to the wild, wild west,
It hasn't turned out for the best.
You went for a run,
Demanded a gun,
And showed off your bull-riding zest.
I don't wish to sound mean
but my sister's gone off her bean
She limericks at will
-- it's humorous swill --
and damnit, I have the same gene!
