With all the of the talk of politics, we've been thinking about visiting DC again. The first year of grad school I lived in DC and did tons of touristy stuff! DC is an amazing place to be a tourist (or a broke grad student) because all of the Smithsonian museums are free. (This is a fact that has sorta broken me for other museums ... what, you want me to pay?! You don't just think it is important that I see your museum?) Anyway, while I saw most of the sights, Dave didn't see as many. So, we've been talking about going back to visit. To add to that, we've got friends from grad school that have moved back to the DC area and we haven't seen them since our wedding.
So, we just decided that we'd go back to DC for Inauguration Day! The tickets would have been $1k, which we wouldn't have paid (still a broke grad student at heart) ... but we had 2 free tickets on JetBlue!! So, for the $5 fee of using our free tickets we will fly into/out of NY and then drive down to DC. We'll get to see our family, friends, and history. I love it when a plan comes together (especially when it is hatched in about 3 minutes!)!
This is a title. It's important.

Yea!
Sounds like fun. For you. Entirely too many people for my taste!
I can't wait to hear about it, though!
