A few days ago, thanks to the lackluster work of Senator John "Loser" Kerry, Major League Baseball came to an agreement that will allow cable television to broadcast the MLB Extra Innings package. Now they come to an agreement??? AFTER opening day!! Pathetic. As you are well aware, DirecTV previously had an exclusive deal with MLB. And needless to say, we took the only logical and prudent action: we mounted a fricken dish on the roof and put some hot dogs on the BBQ in time for opening day (a rousing Mets win by the way).
Whattayagonna do? You know, DirecTV doesn't cost anymore than Comcast &, personally I think Comcast has terrible customer service. Besides, the Mets are undefeated and have outscored their opponents by a total of 31-3 so far this season. I got nothing to complain about!!
Oh, I wonder if John Kerry will pick up a few hundred votes in Ohio next weekend.

Because certainly Major League Baseball isn't to blame...
I can't blame MLB for trying to get the best deal possible. But yes, I think that they played the cable companies like a fiddle and got what they wanted in the end.
