Much needed updates

Hello! Lots o stuff has happened recently. Part of the reason for moving to Oregon was to make some major life changes. Living here has given us a little more financial flexibility to do so. It is our sworn quest to start our own business/work together/basically not work for "The Man". I (Dave) have just started to learn a new trade, so to speak. I'm now working for a construction company that builds upscale/dream homes in Eugene. I'm learning all sorts of new stuff that I never had the opportunity to learn in NYC. Believe me, I never imagined that I'd be living in Oregon, driving a (company) pick up truck, and/or working in construction! I'm still trying to wrap my mind around it all. But, after about 8 days of work I feel very positive about it, I work with some great people, and it's hard, honest work (kinda like getting paid to exercise all day long). Only time will tell where this will lead, but it feels right. At the very least, I'll be better informed when we buy our first house and so forth. At best, maybe we'll be able to make some good moves in the real estate market in the years to come. Time will tell. One thing is for sure, I want to be able to look back on life and see it as one big adventure. You know, lots of ups and downs, risks taken and road less traveled kinda stuff. So far so good, I believe. I'll keep you posted. :)
